Yom Hashoa -Holocaust Remembrance Day

A difficult day for many to say the least. Remembering the 6 million who perished. Murdered for no reason. Well no reason, other than the fact that they were Jewish. Yet this remembrance day, we continue to see our enemies fight us. Kill us. Murder us.

Because we are Jewish.

According to Jewish law everyone is required to observe the Seven Laws of Noah, Jews and non-Jews alike. Number 3 is DO NOT MURDER and stands worldwide in every single country that one does not murder another.

Yet again and again we hear more and more murderous acts taking place throughout the world.

Even more so, how do we fully comprehend this unfathomed, sickening, nauseating act of terror?

We weren’t there. Few of us were.

There are maybe a handful of survivors left and many of them were extremely young at the time.

So, I ask again how do we comprehend this terrible act?

We continue to teach our children and educate them in the best possible way to remember. As our children get older, they will hopefully continue to teach their kids too so that traditions and remembrance can be passed down from one generation to another forever.

There is nothing more important than to continue passing these reminders on.

We need to ensure the Holocaust never happens again.
