5 Ways To Stay Motivated

Nobody wants to do mundane and boring however we all have tasks we just have to do.

Which is why we need to stay motivated in order to handle these tasks.

There are many ways to motivate ourselves. Self-motivation is a great way forward. It’s an important skill to have, helping us to move on even in tougher times and allowing us to open up to opportunities as well as agreeing to commit to goals and achievements.

How do we reach self-motivation?

1. Trying New Things

Trying new things is a great way to stay motivated however not always easy. Sometimes it is difficult for us to start new things especially if it means giving something up or taking us out of our comfort zone. If we focus on the idea that new things will help us learn and explore we’ll be ten times likely to try them!

2. Exercise

Often when the word exercise is mentioned you imagine being drenched in sweat with an exhausted feeling right? Exercise doesn’t have to have that feel. Exercise can be a walk in nature, yoga, aerobics, swimming and more.

When we exercise, even a short while every day it motivates us. It gives us energy boosters, we forget about our worries and stresses and feel happy even if it is only for a short period of time.

Exercise is a great motivator.

3. Reward Yourself

Another way to stay motivated is to have rewards set in place for all the tasks that you need to do.

You make a plan for a task, you complete the task and then you chose a reward for completion.

This is a really productive way to keep performing better and better.

4. Find a Mentor

Motivation can be found in people and especially in coaches and mentors. They provide motivation and inspiration of the greatest kind. Most mentors have a lot of life experiences to share and therefore they are the best for offering motivation.

5. Curiosity

Boredom often comes from lack of curiosity. Curiosity is the reason for us learning and for the interest we have in many things.

By staying curious we fuel our motivation.

“Motivation is the art of getting people to do what you want them to do because they want to do it.”

– Dwight D. Eisenhower
