7 simple questions to ask yourself before you “Own Your Niche”

What is your area of interest?

A while ago, I started getting really into Photography. Everywhere I went, I was snapping tons of pictures off my iPhone 11. The camera is amazing!

I started thinking about how much I could do through a real lens and started researching buying beginners cameras and following courses related.

I fell in love with my Nixon D3500 so much so that I turned my interest into a passion and very soon to be a business!

Seriously think about….

What do you like to do during your time off? Think about sports you play, games you enjoy, all your hobbies. Think about anything relevant that you like to do in your free time.

What are your passions?

Passions are things you truly love to do.  For me it’s taking photos that is one of my true passion. Passion is a powerful and intense emotion or enthusiasm towards a
particular activity, cause or interest. It is a deep and driving force
that ignites motivation, dedication and purpose in an individual. When
someone is passionate about something, they feel a strong sense of
connection, joy and fulfillment in pursuing it.

Passion can bring a sense of purpose and meaning to one’s life. It often leads to a sense of flow, where individuals become fully engaged and immersed in what they are doing, losing track of time and experiencing a state of heightened focus and enjoyment. Passion can also inspire and influence others, as people are often drawn to the enthusiasm and dedication displayed by passionate individuals.

Passions are strong emotional feelings, loves and likes for something or someone.

“She had passion in everything she did”.

“Swimming the ocean ignited his passion to join the swim club”.

What is a problem you can solve?

Problem Solving is not easy. Often you come across a client who needs a solution. Can you find it for them? Maybe you could offer it in your services?

Recently, I have been working on a project a client brought to me that I never imagined I would learn and research about. It’s exciting and thrilling and not only solves their problem, it showed me a lot about my niche too.

Have you researched your competition?

A major advantage of doing a competitive analysis helps you measure up and figure out your competition and what their strengths and weaknesses are. You need to know what works and what doesn’t. Does your idea stand out?

What sets you apart from your competition?

In my field as a mentor offering virtual assistant services as well is a huge advantage to my clients.

We often start with the mentoring side of the business only to figure out what can be outsourced to the virtual assistant services and how we can manage our time better!

Did you test out your plan?

Many say it is worth doing pre-sales before you start out big to see if your idea will work /sell.

You can look at your conversion ratios. Many look at product analysis. What’s really important here is to track everything and set schedules, plans and goals so you don’t drag anything out too long, especailly if it isn’t selling!

Who is your ideal client?

This is by far one of my favorite questions. Do you see who is buying from you? Is there a common tread? Do they live in a certain place? What is their age range? Talk to your customers. Ask them questions and make a point of getting to know them. Every client/ customer/ networking buddy  who comes my way, it’s really important for me to get to know them and build with them tailor made plans.

One of the most important things to remember when figuring out how to own your niche is YOU CAN’T OFFER EVERYONE.

No matter what, you cannot reach everyone and not everyone will even like you.

You have to understand that there are many, many options out there and you can’t offer to everyone!

If you get that, using these tips, the rest will unfold!

OWN YOUR NICHE!

  1. With havin so much written content do you ever run into any issues of plagorism or copyright violation? My blog has a lot of unique content I’ve either written myself or outsourced but it looks like a lot of it is popping it up all over the web without my authorization. Do you know any solutions to help stop content from being stolen? I’d genuinely appreciate it.
