Taking Risks

Are they worth it?

Sometimes in life all you need is a little encouragement. Sometimes you just need to take a risk and see what happens. Taking risks isn’t easy. Yet taking risks can be powerful. When we were younger, taking risks is what we knew because we feared the consequences a whole lot less and we were curious.

As we become adults, it is apparent that we fear more than we are curious. At least, I see it that way. We want security. We want to be sure. Taking risks does not ensure us of anything!

My biggest risk was leaving my 9-5, full time, secure job to start out on my own. I didn’t just wake up one day and say “okay today I will leave my job”.

When I decided to leave my job and start a business, I planned it out and thought it out first. I made sure that my family was secure too.

Was it worth it?

Yes!

Totally worth it!

It takes a lot of courage to take a big risk like this. It’s really hard and you may feel vulnerable putting yourself out there with the chances of failure. Which doesn’t feel good, even if you are going to learn from it.

The world is full of amazing opportunities. Taking risks is a big part of it all. There are times it maybe painful, but you have to be patient and take as much time as you need to and build yourself up. Try new things. You can experiment. You should look around and you should explore.

The outcomes of taking risks allow us to become stronger and help us to grow.

Have you taken a risk before? Was it worth it?

Would love to hear from you about your risk-taking!
